THIS ALL STARTED WITH AN UNSOUND IDEA

UnSound Racing was founded on the principle that plausible deniability is as sound an organizing principle as it is a legal principle. We are fueled by a vague idea about what it takes to race cars in the dirt, and powered by the courage and sheer ignorance of dilettantes. Our team is dedicated to racing fast and loose in cheap cars. Last week we took a few minutes and surveyed the rally racing landscape and couldn't find anyone to give us sound advice about racing, cars, forming a team, so we started anyway. How hard could this be? So I bought a 2017 Ford Fiesta sight unseen off the old interwebs from some dodgy used car dealer, and had it shipped down here to Arizona. With a limited budget, and even more limited mechanical skill, and racing knowledge, we proceeded to convert the subcompact-econo-tadpole into the fire breathing Detroit Demon that you see before you! To be fair, and literal, this little feisty Fiesta was, as it's name would suggest, "Hecho en Mexico". La neta! !A huevo! So really it is a Demino Mexicano, not a demon from Detroit. When I say "convert", I would ask you to reference the aforementioned vague understanding of all things automotive, and an overabundance of confidence. Since we didn't know how to build a proper rally car, I just painted it to look like one, slapped on some rally wheels wrapped an aggressive looking snow tires (which are harder to get than one might think here in the desert), added some bitchin' Hella driving lights, our sponsor decals, and Bob's your uncle. 

At UnSound Racing, we really don't have much of a mission. It is more like a vague or unsound idea (see what I did there). Our plan that we dutifully sketched out on a bar napkin, is to race cars, win some trophies, and maybe sell some shirts, hats, and stickers to help pay for this little endeavor. If we did have some sort of mission statement it would be something like this: We are committed to doing something with this 2017 Ford Fiesta ST and achieving marginal success at the aforementioned something with little to no planning, forethought, or consultation with experts. We stand by our commitment with a 100% money back guarantee of zero return on investment.

Our team is made up of highly trained professionals who have decades of racing experience. Just kidding, we don't know anything about racing! We know even less about the rules of racing. We are the same ne'er-do-wells that brought you such questionable ideas as The Hot Dog Hustle and Punch More Nazis. We are diverse bunch of scofflaws with some vague ideas about what we should do with our spare time and meager funds.
